Praise for our Art Workshops!

“Do Art Productions came to our library for three workshops and our community and staff loved working with Jerry! We were very impressed with his patience and ability to connect with everyone, regardless of their age or experience with drawing. Each workshop was fun, engaging, and kept you waiting to see what would happen next! It was wonderful to see our patrons open up and become more comfortable expressing their ideas, while also learning how to make amazing comic illustrations. Art is such an important outlet for creativity and Do Art Productions helped showcase that to our community. We look forward to working with them again in the future!”

Do Art Productions clearly is very passionate about encouraging creativity in children of all ages. The Comic Book workshop was both engaging and informative, and the kids were having a fantastic time! We look forward to hosting them again for future programs.

We had Jerry from the Do Art Collective give his comic book creation program. He was fantastic and the kids loved him. He employed guitar playing, juggling, unicycle riding and gave kids some take home materials. I cannot recommend him enough.

“Our workshop with Do Art Productions brought out courage and creativity in our young artists!  Many of our young patrons came in unsure of their creative abilities in art and by the end of the program all were dancing, singing, and drawing!  Jerry and Chet Were so good at relating to kids on characters in comics and graphic novels and helping them understand how to turn their interests into creativity and art!  We can’t wait for our next workshop!”

“Do Art Productions did a fabulous job keeping a mixed aged group of children engaged while participating in a comic workshop. The Public Library offers a lot of programs, our own and hosting others, and Do Art Productions stood out as being able to keep children interested during the entire session. Children participated enthusiastically, shouting out answers and ideas during brainstorming session and then quieted to work on their own art. It is very obvious that Jerry and Chet love their craft and sharing it with others. The children had such an amazing time.”

Dear Jerry,

Thank you so much for the comic book workshop you held at Ida Public Library. It was a fabulous event and our patrons greatly enjoyed it.  Your patience and ability to interact with all ages really made the event a success.  I am sure you inspired a few future artists!

I would highly recommend your event to anyone looking for a fun, interesting event for all ages.  You are easy to work with, punctual, and really have a passion for the art form, which is evident to attendees.  We definitely plan to have you back for a future event in the next year.”

“Last Friday went over very well with the teachers and students. I had seven students come to the library specifically for more free comics on Saturday. I did talk to Jennifer, the principal, about making free comic book day a yearly event at the school. She was all for it, so if you’re available next year, May 3 I’d be happy to accompany you to the school and do it again!

The kindergarten teacher and third grade teacher did stop in the hallway to tell me they really enjoyed your program.  The following Monday, (this past Monday) at the After School Program the five boys who were there were so apologetic to me about not being able to come to the library for more comics on Saturday then proceeded to tell Miss Tamera (the After School Program teacher) about your Patrick drawing and onomatopoeia.

With the 6th, 7th and 8th graders there were some girls in the bleachers who said to each other, “I didn’t think he’d be able to get everything done.”  Referring to your drawing of Patrick with the mustache, Ugs, elephant ears, etc. The two boys who I was sitting next to told me after you finished adding everything to Patrick how realistic everything was.

There was nothing but positive comments, enthusiasm and excitement from your program.”
