Workshops
Comic Book Workshop
At the Do Art Productions Comic Book Program, we will explore the many different angles and tools of not only comics but self-expression. Each week we will explore a different aspect of comics from paneling, to character, to plot, as well as learn about the different aspects of inspiration and expressing ourselves. By the end we will have created many of our own comics, as well as see how to generate our own. Our goal is to always show that gratitude in being ourselves and the creativity that can sprout from expressing this. Everyone will receive stickers, bookmarks, and a variety of other material to further their comic creations.
Poetry Workshop
At the Do Art Poetry workshop we will explore creative writing as we discuss the tools of poetry (like imagery and metaphor) as well as the structure of the haiku. We emphasize the power of words to evoke expression and fun, and as with all our workshops, we use audience participation to inform and inspire. The audience will also be able to type on a typewriter provided by us, to add a line of their own to a completely original poem that we create together! By the end we will all be writing our own poetry as well as poetry with each other.
Painting Workshop
At our Do Art painting workshops, we will all paint together with our own canvases and canvas paper, all paints, brushes, and canvases provided. A great time to tap into your own creations while sharing the experience and inspiration with others. We will guide through different techniques, paint mixing, shading and help with all creative inquiries.. More than one painting is encouraged and everyone will go home with stickers, and other materials to help further their creativity.
Acting Workshop
At the Do Art Acting workshop, we will learn about the different visual languages we use with our face, emotions, and body posture. From these, we will try different improv scenarios at random, and see how easy it is to ‘get into ‘character’ and tap into our creative expression through the different visual cues. We will then write our own part to act out!
Make-and-Paint You Own Drum Workshop
We will be combining two different art forms into one! We will be creatively using recycled materials (all sanitized), forming it into a percussion musical instrument, then painting and decorating it to our own personal interests and musical aura! We will talk about the power of music throughout, as well partaking in multiple jam sessions! There will be live music! Comedy! As well as plenty of inspirational enthusiasm!

5 Week Comic Book Program Program

5 Week Poetry Workshop
At the Do Art Poetry Program, each week we will dive into the different aspects of poetry and creative writing in general. We will learn how to find our own voice, as well as how to utilize the full potential of words. Communication is as important now as it ever was, and we will learn how to examine words to say what we want them to say. We will learn different forms of poetry as well as write a song together to learn about the rhythm of syllables. Poetry is everywhere, and more than anything we aim to show how to see it.
5 Week Painting Program
At the Do Art Painting Program, each week we will discuss a different topic of painting from sketching to color mixing to shading and so on, as well as spend a lot of time painting as much as we can. Each week there will also be a new main topic to paint, and each week will be a process of learning with much doing. All materials will be provided, and an infinite amount of paintings are encouraged.
5 Week Acting Program
At the Do Art acting program, each week we will dive into a different emotion, and visual cue. Through writing random ideas in a hat, we will then act out improv scenarios, and utilize the different emotions and expressions of the week. By the end, everyone will have a whole repertoire of acting tools to not only utilize the tone of our voice, body silent body movements to enhance our dialogue.
Assemblies
Do Art Assembly
Our Art Assembly is designed to bring our charismatic enthusiasm for the creative process to more people at one sitting. This can accommodate from 50-400 people (More is possible depending on venue). We will bring our usual multimedia approach, playing live music and drawing interactively, as well as performing comedy, juggling, and a riding unicycle for good measure. We will bring participants from the audience to participate, as well as developing a back and forth with the audience, aiming at total engagement through the different avenues of creative entertainment. Great for schools of ages, as well as large family friendly events.
Do Art Productions Seminar: 10 musts for an artistic career
Our Do Art seminars aim to convey what we have learned in our artistic path and creative careers. In our usual Do Art energy, we bring our charismatic energy to innspire, motivate, and educate any aspiring artists to find and develop a creative career. We will share and explain ten main points that we know will benefit all artists who implement them along with giving details of our own personal success story and how we applied them in specific situations. As artists we see the world through a creative lens, and we inspire others to turn that creative lens on the process of selling their art, as well as their very existence.

Perfect for any event or occasion! Perfected over hundreds of comic cons and miscellaneous events, we provide a place for creative expression in a simple but powerful forms. Participants are asked to draw in a WACKY way, creating something incredible for themselves or, if they want, adding something awesome to a wall of group art. Perfect for conventions, sporting events, summer camps, parties, and corporate retreats. We create a space where parents and kids, creative minds of all ages can express their creativity in an engaging and safe atmosphere. Our format is flexible, and can be easily adapted to whatever fresh, creative ideas you have to make your event even better!
