Born Creative

It doesn’t matter where you are from, or what you look like.  It doesn’t matter if you go to the same school as someone else, or even grew up in the same house.  Even if you are friends, or siblings, or cousins–none of that matters, because we all think differently.  No one really teaches us how to think.  At the most, they guide us using either positive or negative reinforcement, both contributing to us learning a value system of ‘good’ and ‘bad’.  But that’s measuring, not thinking.  No one teaches us how to think, but in the midst of a myriad of malleable variables, including the specific environment of time and space at a precise moment of our ‘maturing’–BOOM, it sorta just happens.  Whether it’s the realization of an ‘I’, or maybe the exact moment our maturing self requires a complex consciousness to cope with the magnitude of perceptions bombarding our pattern making minds.  It ‘happens’ and isn’t ‘taught.’  All of this to say that this experience engraves a certain peculiarity, reacting to unique variables, to everyone it happens to.

At Do Art, we want to be grateful for this uniqueness.  All of us are born creative creatures.  The only way for a conscious being to comprehend an identity is to use creativity in some form or another.  At Do Art, we want to show that our ‘uniqueness’ is the engine to our endless stream of creative ideas.

Recap: We all inherently think differently due to the ever changing landscape of existence.  This inherent difference allows us to express our own perspective–a perspective that is always changing as it passes through time.  Due to this inherently unique perspective, and our inherent passing through time, we are gifted an endless amount of creativity to express and explore as we journey through life.

There will be happiness.  There will be sadness.  There will be frustration, anger, laughter, achievement, disappointment, and, hopefully most of all, gratitude.  At Do Art we stress this gratitude, for it is in this gratitude of our uniqueness that we will find endless creativity for the rest of our lives.

We are born creative beings, and we should live our lives as such.

Now repeat after me:

‘I am amazing’

*you*

‘I am creative’

*you*

‘I am an artist!’

*you*
